Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 6, 2026
At iyiyim, privacy is not a feature — it is a founding principle. Mental health data is among the most sensitive data there is; this page explains in plain language what we collect and why, what we never collect, and your rights.
Data we collect
- Account information: email and username (required for sign-in and account recovery).
- Mood and tracking data: mood logs, panic sessions (duration, technique used), trigger notes — used only to show you your timeline, charts and mind report.
- Journal and thought records: the journals and thought records you write are private to you; no one, including our team, reads them routinely.
- Self-assessment results: scores from screening scales such as GAD-7 are stored so you can see your progress. These are for screening, not diagnosis.
- Usage and technical data: basic device/request information (app version, error logs) for debugging and security.
Voice recordings stay on your device
Voice recordings for relaxation and journaling are stored only on your device; they are never uploaded to our servers. When you delete the app, these recordings are deleted with it.
Artificial intelligence (AI coach) and third parties
- When you use the AI coach, your messages are transmitted to and processed by our AI infrastructure provider, Anthropic (Claude models), solely to generate chat responses.
- Your conversations are never used for advertising or profiling; none of your data is shared with third-party ad networks.
- We recommend not typing personal identifiers such as ID numbers or addresses to the AI coach; there is no need to.
- Beyond this, we never sell, rent or share your data for marketing purposes.
How we use your data
- To personalize your experience (timeline, mind report, suggestions).
- To keep the service secure, reliable and running.
- To improve the product using anonymized, aggregate statistics that cannot be linked back to you.
Storage and security
- Data travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and is stored on secure servers with restricted access.
- When you delete your account, your personal data is permanently removed; only records subject to legal retention obligations (e.g. billing information) are kept for the period required by law.
- Employee access is limited on a strict need-to-know basis.
Cookies
The iyiyim.org marketing site does not use third-party tracking cookies. Inside the app there are no marketing cookies, only strictly necessary technical storage such as keeping you signed in.
Your rights
Under applicable data protection law (including Turkey's KVKK, Law No. 6698), you have the right to access, correct and delete your data, to object to its processing, and to learn which third parties it has been transferred to. You can submit a request through the in-app support section; requests are answered within the statutory deadlines.
Children's privacy
The service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If we make a significant change to this policy, we will announce it in the app; the current version is always published on this page.
Important note
iyiyim is not a medical service; your health data is not processed for diagnostic purposes. In an emergency, call your local emergency number. See also our Terms of Use and Refund Policy.
